Procedures For Maintaining Your Inground Fiberglass Pools

By Minnie Whitley

If summer time is coming, people still wanted to relax while they feel the heat of the sun. There are those who are preparing refreshing drinks during those times so it could quench their thirst. There are those who do not wait for a long time in preparing their swimming pool at home.

Having one at home means you could relax and swim all you want. One of the preferred type of this is the inground fiberglass pools. Most people usually choose this type because it needs low maintenance from time to time. Here are some tips on how you could maintain one.

The first procedure would be to always remember not to drain your pool. It has been designed to be full of water even when cleaning. One reason for it is that the pressure that is on the water is being used to keep that balanced to the pressure that is on the ground. If you will be emptying it then there is no longer balance. It would only cause that to crack.

If you like to have the best equipment on it then it would be best if you would have the telescopic pole. A pole like that comes in various lengths and materials. The one that is made up of aluminum is the most common one that is used by others. One can have the length of your pole adjusted. One may also add various accessories on it so cleaning will be easy.

Some would attach skim nets and leaf rakes at the end of it. If you wanted to catch debris on its surface then you have to use a skim net. If you wanted to remove debris that are just floating then you have to use the leaf rake. It is advisable that you would be using that everyday. This is one way to avoid a huge amount of dirt on it.

If heavy amounts of dirt has accumulated on that then it is necessary that you have that vacuumed. You can select from a manual or automatic vacuum. If one uses manual, place the head of it on the pole. Prior to submerging that to the water, you also have to place its hose on it. It will be capable of trapping dirt in its bag. Using an automatic is really effortless but is expensive. Set it, turn that on and it will just collect all debris requiring less effort from you. You can select from a variety of shapes and styles of this vacuum. You only have to be certain if its head is suitable on fiberglass pools.

After you have vacuumed it, you also have to brush it. It will remove slime that could not be picked when vacuumed. Be sure you use a tile cleaner and a brush that is really for such pools.

You can also buy test kits. It will help determine the chemical level and quality of the water. Be sure you check every week.

It is important that those procedures would be followed. If you are going to maintain that, it would be useful for so long. A hot day would always be a swimming day.
