Working on convincing homogeneous channels is imperative. A clearly defined procedure can be so easy to understand. No guesswork should be involved when defining every stage of the process as a matter of facts. This will go a long way to tell the individuals where they really belong. If understood then aligning yourself to where you belong will have been made easy. Clear definition is a backbone for effective supervision.
